the DAEMONS

1. While they look human in every possibly way, it is not so. Daemons aging slows down when they reach adolescence, and stops completely around their twentieth birthday, sometimes later and sometimes sooner.
2. No two daemons were born with the same power. Apart from this, daemons powers can be practically anything; from the ability to control an element, to the ability to read minds, to turning into an animal. However, every power has a drawback and comes with consequences every use. (However, some daemons have learned, with long and painful training, how to lessen the effects of these drawbacks.)
3. Daemons can come from everywhere. Though a large portion of the ones alive today are somehow related to the big Thirteen, daemons have spawned without the Thirteen. (Some believe that daemons are just mutated humans; hence the creation of more daemons without the Thirteen.)
4. Most daemons do not discover their powers until they reach their teenage years, when their aging slows down.
5. Daemons have been living alongside humans since the birth of the first, but they’ve hidden in the shadows in fear of being... eliminated.
6. The natural lifespan of a daemon is unknown; the eldest ones are over three thousand years old, and they have only died from illnesses and humans so far.
7. Daemons did not have a concrete government system until Victory City. They respected the original Thirteen, yes, but would not follow them to their death, as a majority would now.

**The Thirteen were the original daemons. Using their abilities, they became the Greek gods. Most of the stories about the Thirteen found in mythology are false. Most of the other gods created within that mythology are also false.**
